(CARBONDALE, IL) — It looks like incumbent Republican State Rep. Terri Bryant of Murphysboro is going to have a challenger for the 115th District House seat in next year’s election. Marsha Griffin is set to announce her candidacy for the seat this evening at 5 at the Carbondale Civic Center. According to a press release from Griffin’s campaign, Griffin – a Democrat – has never run for elected office. She is a middle school teacher and community volunteer from Jonesboro. Bryant announced she would run for another term last month.
