(Jackson County, IL) — Five people from southern Illinois face federal meth and heroin charges. Prosecutors say Franklin Denault of Steelville, Michael Halliday of Elkville and Nicholas Draege of Du Quoin are charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute meth. Denault, Leah Bean and Jami Hoelscher are charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin. All five are being held without bond pending a jury trial in September.
