(BELLEVILLE, IL) — Republican Congressman Mike Bost will have a challenger for his 12th Congressional District seat next year. C.J. Baricevic of Belleville is the first Democrat to announce that he’s running for the seat. He made his announcement during a stop in West Frankfort Monday. Baricevic practices labor law in St. Clair County. He says too many people are leaving the area due to a lack of jobs and he wants to change that. Baricevic says he will focus on job creation if elected.
