(Mt. Vernon, IL)–The first bid for the 58th Illinois Senate seat has been made by constitutional law attorney Sharee Langenstein. Langenstein announced her bid during a tour of Southern Illinois yesterday. She made many stops throughout the area, including Mt. Vernon. She says she hopes to change the direction of the state. And will work towards preserving the Illinois economy by helping families throughout the state. She says the fiscal crisis the people of Illinois face isn’t letting people enjoy Southern Illinois. She also hopes to work toward tort and worker’s comp reforms if elected. The 58th seat will be open following Senator Dave Luechtefeld’s retirement.
