Don DeMent, 96, of Mount Vernon passed away at 7:15 A.M., Saturday, April 25 at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 30 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Members of Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery. Friends of the Don DeMent Family may call from 5 to 8:00 P.M.
