SALINE COUNTY — A Hardin County man has been arrested following an investigation regarding a stolen gun.

Saline County Sheriff Ken Clore says Deputy Adam Stanley received a report from Brandon Tanner on Blackman Hill Road regarding a stolen .380 Ruger on Sept. 24.

After a tip was submitted to Deputy Stanley, he interviewed 18-year-old Koty K. Caraker of Rosiclare, who admitted to stealing the firearm.

Caraker was arrested on Sept. 29 and preliminarily charged with theft and possession of a stolen firearm.  He remains in the Saline County Detention Center.

The case is still under investigation by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
