(LEBANON, IL) — A 64-year-old Lebanon man died Thursday morning after cutting a tree that then fell onto him at his rural Lebanon home, authorities said. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office reports that emergency responders received a call at 7:38 a.m. about the tree falling. MedStar ambulance took Daryl L. O’Leary to Memorial Hospital East, where he was later pronounced dead. According to the sheriff’s office, O’Leary was apparently cutting a tree and it fell the wrong way, striking his head and pinning his body.
