MT. VERNON — Members of the Mt Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk team served a narcotics related search warrant at a residence on South 7th Street in Mt Vernon Friday morning.

The warrant was the result of an investigation which indicated controlled substances were being sold from the residence. A post on the MVPD Facebook page indicates further details regarding this warrant service will be released as the investigation continues.
