(BENTON, IL) — Two people were arrested following an alleged fight that happened early Sunday morning in Benton. Benton Police were sent to the parking lot at 107 Lewis Drive in reference to a fight in progress. When police arrived, 26-year-old Christina M. Bauer of Benton was found beating up another woman. Bauer was subdued by an officer. As the police investigation continued, police also arrested 28-year-old Derrick W. Webber of West Frankfort for battering another man during the fight. Both Bauer and Webber were charged with aggravated battery and taken to the Franklin County Jail. A report of a domestic dispute in Benton early Monday morning led to a Benton woman’s arrest for domestic battery. Benton Police say following their investigation, 26-year-old Heather N. Dale was charged with the offense and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
