(Carbondale, IL)  —  A 21-year-old Hazelwood, Mo., man has turned himself in Monday to the Jackson County Jail on charges stemming from an Easter weekend shooting incident in Carbondale that left a former Centralia resident shot dead and another person wounded. Travis T. Tyler was wanted on two active warrants for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm in reference to the a shooting incident in the early morning hours of Easter in the 400 block of West Walnut Street that left 41-year-old Tim Beaty dead in his neighboring home and another person injured. The Carbondale Police Department is still attempting to locate 21-year-old Daniel D. Holmes, of Carbondale who has active warrants for his arrest for that same Easter morning incident and another shooting incident at a Carbondale apartment complex that following Tuesday that left one person injured. Two other suspects, Dwayne J. Dunn and John Ingram, both 21-years-old and from St. Louis, are in custody in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Holmes is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200.  Holmes should be treated as Armed and Dangerous. The investigations into the two incidents are continuing.
