(MT. VERNON, IL) — Personnel with the Mt. Vernon Fire Department were on the scene at the Huck’s Convenience Store located at 34th and Broadway in Mt. Vernon this morning after a call of a light bulb cover on the station’s awning had caught fire. Business for the convenience store gas station was interrupted for a short time while personnel tended to the lights in question. Business was anticipated to be unaffected after personnel left the scene sometime before 6:30 this morning.
