(Mounds, IL) — A Mounds Police officer is now home and recovering after he was shot Wednesday while responding to an armed robbery call. The Pulaski County State’s Attorney still has to decide whether to charge a 16-year-old suspect as an adult. The teen is accused of shooting Officer Lyle Womack. If the youth is charged as an adult, he could face much harsher punishment.
