(CARMI, IL) — Formal charges were filed Thursday against a Carmi man who allegedly shot his son at the man’s home on Shumaker Street Wednesday night. The White County State’s Attorney’s office says 72-year-old Barry Lindsey is facing several charges including two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting of 46-year-old Barry Lindsey. Barry Lindsey is lodged in the White County Jail on a $500,000 bond. His status hearing has been set for Monday with a preliminary hearing set for May 18 at 10:30. Eugene Lindsey is said to be in stable condition at an Evansville hospital recovering from his wounds. Police continue to investigate.
