(Carbondale, IL) — A Carbondale man accused of threatening to kill a police officer is going to prison. Daniel Hamilton has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison. Prosecutors say the defendant was arrested in December 2014 after he refused to leave from the Good Samaritan House after a disturbance. They add that while he was in custody Hamilton told an officer that he would kill him and his family.
