(NASHVILLE, IL) — According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, a 28-year-old Nashville man has been charged with burglary of a DuBois restaurant the same day it was destroyed by a fire. Keith R. Addison was formally charged in Washington County court Wednesday with Class 2 felony burglary and Class 3 felony theft, in connection with the alleged February 9, burglary of the Travelers Restaurant in DuBois. A fire destroyed the historic roadhouse restaurant the same day. Addison is charged with a second count Class 2 felony burglary for an alleged burglary to a nearby vacant building. Bail for Addison has been set at $50,000 and he’s scheduled to appear in court March 3 for a first appearance with court appointed counsel and a bond reduction hearing. According to Washington County Sheriff’s Department Detective Tommy Moss, an investigation is continuing into the fire at the Travelers Restaurant and no charges have been filed in connection with the fire. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact Sheriff Danny Bradac or Moss at 327-8274. Moss reports the investigation into Addison’s involvement in the burglaries began with a tip about a pickup truck seen in the area. However, Moss says there is nothing to indicate anyone else was involved in the burglaries.
