(BENTON, IL) — Even though Congressmen John Shimkus, Rodney Davis and newly elected Congressman Mike Bost were already sworn-in to Congress earlier this month, the three congressmen will take part in a Congressional Swearing-in Ceremony this morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Benton Civic Center. The event is sponsored by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. You are invited to attend this event. The congressmen represent portions of the Southern District of Illinois, which is one of three federal judicial districts in Illinois and is comprised of the 38 southernmost counties. Congressman Shimkus started his tenth term in the House of Representatives; Congressman Davis started his second term; and Congressman Bost started his first term.
