(CENTRALIA, IL) — Three individuals pleaded guilty Tuesday in Marion County court in unrelated cases charging them with felony domestic battery. Laura Holstlaw, 48, of Salem, had felony charges of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery with the use of a weapon dismissed in exchange for pleading guilty to a Class 2 felony charge of aggravated domestic battery. Holstlaw was sentenced to 108 days in jail, and 108 days home confinement, along with two-years probation. She was ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment, and to have no contact with the victim. She must also pay $807 in fines and fees. A felony charge of aggravated battery of a pregnant or handicapped person was dismissed against 21-year-old Jeremy White, of Centralia, in exchange for his guilty plea on a Class 2 felony charge of aggravated domestic battery including strangling. White was sentenced to 180 days in jail and three years of probation, as well as ordered to pay $780 in fines and fees. He was additionally ordered to complete men challenging violence, plus drug and alcohol evaluations. He is prohibited from having contact with the victim, and must abstain from drugs and alcohol, with routine testing. Lastly, a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery was dismissed against 24-year-old Gary Harold of Salem, after he pleaded guilty to Class 2 felony aggravated battery including strangling. Harold was sentenced to four-years in prison and ordered to pay court costs. The sentence is to run concurrent with a four-year sentence on a felony theft conviction.
