(East St. Louis, IL) — Casino Queen has laid off close to 20 workers and managers this month and the casino is blaming falling revenue. The East St. Louis facility replaced the Old Casino Queen riverboat, which was auctioned off for 600-thousand dollars. Casino officials say the expansion of video gaming at public places outside casinos is cutting into their earnings.
