(NASHVILLE, IL) — A pre-trial date was set in Washington County Court Tuesday in the drug case involving a Mt. Vernon man. 63-year-old Roland Akin is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, aggravated meth manufacturing, disposing of meth manufacturing waste, possession of meth manufacturing material, using a vehicle/structure or other property for the manufacture of meth, and possession of less than five grams of meth, all felonies. His pre-trial date was set for January 12 in the Washington County Judicial Center. According to records, Akin was arrested in April after Washington County deputies served a search warrant at a residence in Ashley. His jury trial is scheduled for January 23.
