(BENTON, IL) — A McLeansboro man is wanted in connection with a crash that injured two people at the intersection of West Cleveland and South Logan streets in West Frankfort around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 30. McLeansboro Police say 30-year-old Travis W. Braden is facing charges of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude police, reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding. Sgt. John Taylor with McLeansboro Police says information regarding the charges has been sent to Franklin County State’s Attorney Evan Owens seeking a warrant. We contacted the State’s Attorney’s office to see if the warrant has been issued, but we have not received any confirmation at this time. The car involved in the crash was allegedly stolen by Braden from the 200 block of East Broadway in McLeansboro on Nov. 30. Braden’s father and passenger in the car, Clarence Braden, was seriously injured in the crash. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, then flown to Evansville for further treatment. Braden struck Ashley Turner with the car. She was taken to a nearby hospital. After the crash happened, Braden fled on foot and still hasn’t been caught.
