This buck was shot on my property in Jefferson County, just 10 minutes after shooting light! When he came in I assumed it was a pesky squirrel or just a doe and then I seen him look around the tree and knew this was the one!

My son Hadley killed this buck during 1st gun season, 10 yd shot, 11pt with a live weight of 245lbs.

I was hunting with a crossbow an saw this ten pointer chasing two does, this buck didn’t even know I was there, I shot the buck at approximately 430 pm, my heart was a pounding. This was the first day I hunted this property, my son in law helped me track this deer. We eventually found the deer on the neighbors property at about 9 pm. It was one of my best hunts ever!!!

After a slow first firearm season I was waiting colder temperatures. Thursday night of second firearm season was cold enough. It got this deer on his feet early and headed to food. He was the first deer in the field that night. He also turned out to be my biggest buck with a firearm.

I harvested this buck on ground I’ve hunted since I was a kid. This was the 3rd encounter I had with him as he had evaded me the previous 2 nights but this night I decided to take the initiative to get closer to where he was coming out and sat up on the ground. He popped out with about 5 minutes of shooting light left and I hit him at 27 FEET! It was one of the coolest encounters I’ve ever had hunting and was stoked

After missing first season because I was in the hospital sick for over a week, second season came and my son wasn’t able to go with me as he usually does. I went by myself and had a new gun I had only shot the night before. Within half an hour I had my buck.

The Good Lord blessed me with this deer the one time my son wasn't in the blind with me. After not finding hardly any blood, we brought my buddies beagle in and she done her job like she knew what she was there for.

I was about to give up as it was around 9am (I had been getting down at 9:15/9:30) until I heard some movement coming from behind me. I turned to my right and seen a doe and fawn running through the tree line and out they popped into the field and a buck was right behind them. I tried to stop him by going “meh meh” but he wasn’t stopping until I literally screamed HEY! He stopped and the rest is history.

I was hunting my favorite spot and I watched this boy for 3 hours. Took a lot of calling and finally he came in for the kill. Took him out at 26 yards. What a rush! Such a big boy!

First time ever firearm hunting, and landed this guy!

I took this buck on Saturday morning of first shotgun season in Wayne County. We estimate him to be 7+ years old. He was the first deer I saw that morning!

Been having this 10 point buck show up on camera for weeks. Got set up with the crossbow but shot over his back. He ran off and we didn’t see him for 2 weeks. Then he re appeared during shotgun season with only a few minutes remaining of daylight. This is the biggest buck to date and couldn’t wait to show my daughter.

It was my daughters first year hunting. She is 12 years old. Her dad took her and she waited patiently through the rain the first day with no movement. The 2nd day she was in her blind for a few hours before an 8 point came out infront of her. He went into the woods and came back out before she was nervously able to get a shot. First shot and he laid right down for her. She is the happiest kid ever!

I have been hurting for several years I have gotten doe's but never a buck. On Sunday morning my son wanted to come along with me. We went out to the stand wasn't seeing anything for about two hours. Then we seen a buck on the left side of the stand walking away from us. I stood up got gun and got ready to shoot. The buck then turned to his left giving me a perfect shot. I shot and got him a eight point buck. My first buck kill.

My son Levin Schulte shot his first deer Sunday morning, an 8 point buck! First deer and a decent buck at that! 10 years of age and first kill! Comment of the day was, as we walked up to the expired deer he said, “one more step to manhood”!

Got this one just north of Bluford. Him and another smaller buck was running all around a field with their heads down trying to find a Doe's scent. Finally this one came right by me. It's hard to see in the picture but he has an extra antler growing out above his left eye.
