(Belleville, IL) — A commander from Scott Air Force Base is pushing for an expanded role for the air tanker force under the incoming Trump administration. General Carlton Everhart the Second was among those military leaders meeting with President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday in Florida where he discussed future Air Force missions. Air Force Chief of Staff David Goldfein wants an additional 30-thousand active duty service members to support missions against the Islamic State, including some from the Air Mobility Command at Scott.
