(WEST FRANKFORT, IL) — Two stabbings have taken place in West Frankfort in recent days. West Frankfort Police Chief Shawn Talutto says around 11:30 Wednesday morning, officers went to the 1000 block of West Main Street in reference to a stabbing. When they got there, officers discovered that 55-year-old Terry W. Young from Kentucky had been stabbed several times. The suspect, 30-year-old Lance E. Munsell of Kentucky, had fled the scene. Young was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Munsell was found and placed under arrest without incident Thursday.  He was charged with aggravated battery and taken to the Franklin County Jail. Then around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 27, officers were sent to a stabbing in the 400 block of East Charles Street. When officers arrived, they found two men that had been fighting over a property dispute. One man, 58-year-old  Charles E. Hutson of West  Frankfort,  had subsequently stabbed the second man, identified as  64-year-old Cary D. Price of West Frankfort, with a knife. Price was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hutson was arrested on scene and charged with aggravated battery. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
