(BENTON, IL) — A Benton man is facing meth-related charges after Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a reported methamphetamine lab at a home on South 1st Street in Benton Tuesday afternoon. Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says a search warrant was executed at the home and a large amount of meth, meth making material and meth trash was recovered. Deputies arrested 52-year-old Steven S. Blackman for a variety of meth-related charges including a Class X felony. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail. Bond for Blackman was scheduled to be set Wednesday afternoon. The sheriff says the investigation continues.
