(Chester, IL)  —  Community members are mourning a police officer who was killed in a traffic stop in Southern Illinois. Twenty-two-year-old James Brockmeyer of the Chester Police Department was attempting to stop a motorist Friday night when his squad car went off the highway and down an embankment. Police are looking for the driver, Jason Michael Stoker, who is being sought on a warrant in Randolph County for aggravated fleeing and eluding of police.
