(Madison Co., IL) — The Madison County Sheriff’s office has a man in custody for allegedly breaking in and robbing an 80-year-old woman in her Godfrey home. The victim says she was awakened Thursday morning by the suspect who demanded her purse. Robert Profer was arrested after a search of the area. He is charged with felony home invasion. At the time of Thursday’s crime, Profer was wanted by Alton police for another robbery. He is being held on a 250-thousand-dollar bond.
