Lacy Bass Beasley, 83, of Walnut Hill passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at his home. He was born on October 17, 1933 the son of Rupert L. and Evelyn G.( Louis) Beasley. On August 26, 1955 in Granite City he married Shirley K Cook and she survives in Walnut Hill. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons, L. Raymond Beasley and wife Gwen of Centralia and Jerry Beasley of Walnut Hill, 6 grandchildren, Bill Gundlach, Mark Coats and wife Jackie, Shannon Farthing and husband Robert, Joshua Beasley and wife Crystal, Logan Beasley and fiancé’ Kelley Hughes, all of Centralia, Illinois; and Kathy Liberty and husband Nick of Tinker AFB, OK; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, a brother, Lewis Beasley of Tennessee and 1 sister Caroline Whipkey and husband RJ of West Virginia; and one sister-in-law, Sue Beasley of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Cecil Beasley, a sister Grace Beasley Pruitt, a great granddaughter Summer Bradford and a great grandson Seth Beasley. Funeral services for Mr. Beasley will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Burial will be at Boyd Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and will be accepted at the Osborn Funeral Home.
