(MT. VERNON, IL) — A 27 year old Mt. Vernon man was arrested Friday on a Jefferson County warrant in the death of a woman in a drug induced homicide case. Blake D Howell was arrested by Mt Vernon Police on a Jefferson County warrant charging Drug Induced Homicide. The arrest was a result of an ongoing investigation into the death of Bridget Jimenez which occurred on June 1st, 2015 at the Beasley Motel in Mt. Vernon. Howell has been incarcerated in the Jefferson County Justice Center pending bond $500,000 (10% applies). Howell is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
