(Granite City, IL)  —  A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle near the Chain of Rocks Bridge.  The vehicle hit the man last night near Route-3 and the bridge.  Police closed Southbound Route-3 to investigate.  The driver reportedly stayed at the scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.
