(West Frankfort, IL)  —  A Benton man accused of stealing a car and other crimes is in custody following a manhunt in Franklin County.  Authorities say Keith Redmon was arrested yesterday after a foot chase in a wooded area on the west side of West Frankfort.  Redmon was wanted for stealing a truck that has been recovered.. Redmon was taken to the Franklin County Jail where he awaits the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail. Redmon was believed to have been armed with at least one handgun, and was wanted for a burglary and vehicle theft there, as well as other vehicle thefts in the area.
