38 year old Timothy Boyd of Mount Vernon has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for a 2024 shooting that left three people injured. A judge handed down 50 years for attempted murder and 25 years for aggravated battery with a firearm, to be served consecutively. Prosecutors say the shooting happened on Lamar Avenue, and Boyd was later arrested after several days on the run. His defense has filed a motion to reconsider the sentence, with a hearing set for June.
