Barbara Sue Fetch, 79, of Bonnie, Illinois, passed away on October 7, 2025, at Deaconess Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born June 23,1946, in Ridgway, Illinois to the late Edward and Ruth (Naas) Drone.

Barbara is survived by her children, Denise(Mark) Etienne, Terry Acord and Nicki(Chris) Himelick; grandchildren, Aaron Etienne, Morgan Etienne, Samantha Ridgley, Kaley(Travis) Felax, Gracey Himelick and Luke Himelick; great grandson, Archer Felax; brothers, Tony Drone, Ron(Karen )Drone, Tim(Bo) Drone, Fred Drone, Bernie(Carla) Drone; numerous extended family members and friends, and her beloved dog Baxter.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings, Pat Drone, Alfred Drone, Regina Schimp, Phyllis Baumgart, and Dorothy Fullop.

Barbara retired from the USPS as Postmaster in Bonnie. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon.  She had an adventurous spirit, and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Gathering for Friends and Family will be at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 6::30 pm, with the Rosary to follow at 6:30. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Ridgway.

Memorials may be made in Barbara’s honor to Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Ridgway or the Bishop John Iffert Scholarship Fund.
