(CENTRALIA, IL) — Police are reporting an Amtrak accident early this morning in Centralia. According to Centralia police, around 12:47 this morning, a westbound SUV became stuck on the tracks at the 16th Street crossing. The driver of the SUV fled the scene before the vehicle was struck. Amtrak has not yet confirmed the route of the southbound train, or how long the train was delayed due to the accident.
