MARION COUNTY — Bond was set at $10,000 Tuesday in Marion County Court for a 28-year-old Centralia woman accused of stabbing a household member in the arm with a knife on Monday.

According to court records, Kaeleigh Pannell was formally charged Tuesday with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery after Centralia police responded to a report of a stabbing and found a man inside an apartment bleeding from the wrist and saying she stabbed him.

Reports say Pannell had returned to the apartment to pick up her dog but when she was preparing to leave, the alleged victim told her she wasn’t leaving and grabbed her.

She told police she then picked up the knife and accidentally stabbed the man. He didn’t require medical attention for his injury.

Pannell is next scheduled to appear in court July 18 for a preliminary hearing on the charges and a first appearance with her court-appointed attorney.
