(MARION, IL) — Traffic will be reduced to one lane starting Monday on Southbound I-57 from Marion to just north of Route 148 so work can begin on that stretch of the interstate. IDOT says this work is expected to last until mid-November. Drivers will encounter major delays, so plan on taking the marked detour routes to your destination. Advanced work zone signs, message boards and detour routes will be in place.
