CENTRALIA — A 15-year-old male student has been charged with attempted murder, after he was allegedly caught Thursday at Centralia Junior High with a knife and was arrested.
According to Centralia Police Chief Doug Krutsinger, his department received a call Thursday from the school regarding a student who was caught with a knife. Information officers obtained indicated that not only did the juvenile have a knife in his possession, but he intended to use the weapon to harm multiple fellow students. After questioning several students and school personnel, the 15-year-old male student was arrested.
Krutsinger says the student has been charged in Marion County Court with two counts attempted murder, aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon.
