(MT. VERNON, IL) — Today is primary day for Illinois. Locally, voters will see contests for the Republican race for State Senate in the 58th district between Paul Schimpf and Sheree Langenstein, the Coroner race between Dr. Bradley Drake and Roger Hayse, and County Board seats in District 3 between Tommy Hayes, Robert Knutson, and Joey McDermott and in District 9 between Robert White and Adam Ortgiesen.  Also on the Republican primary ballot, voters in Dodds Precinct 2 have Stephen Modert and Walter Nadolski vying for the Precinct Committeeman seat. Locally, the Democratic candidates’ races that are listed on the ballot are uncontested.  In addition, The Green Party has a race to be decided in the 12th Congressional District race for Representative between Paula Bradshaw and Sadona Folkner. The winner will be listed as their party’s candidate on the November General Election ballot. We will post the results online at wmix94.com this evening after we receive them.
