(SALEM, IL) — A verbal argument Saturday in a Centralia parking lot landed a 42-year-old Centralia man in the Marion County Jail on multiple drug charges. Police responding to a report of the argument reportedly first found a cannabis pipe while patting down Robert Roe, who then reportedly admitted to possessing cannabis. A further search revealed methamphetamine or ice in a pocket of Roe’s sweatshirt. The woman allegedly involved in the argument reportedly told police the argument was only verbal and she did not want to pursue charges. A search of the woman did not reveal drugs or weapons and she was released.
