John Wayne Minor, age 68 of Mt. Vernon passed away 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Funeral services for John Minor will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Gale Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 141 in Mt. Vernon.
