Arthur Wayne Ackley, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 pm December 26, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 25, 1939 in Mount Vernon to the late Clifford Wayne and Ruth Viola (Ramsey) Ackley. Arthur married Mary Jane (Smith) Ackley on January 25, 1960 in Mount Vernon.  A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Sursa Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois. The Graveside Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Reverend Don Rector officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Arthur’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time.
