Ruben Perez, 63, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:27 pm December 8, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 13, 1957 in San Jose de la Paz, Mexico to the late Rafael and Antonia (Leon) Perez. Ruben married Maria (Angel) Perez and they were blessed with 25 years together.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon with Father John Iffert officiating. Interment will follow at West Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Memorials may be made in Ruben’s honor to the Perez family, in care of Ruben Perez, Jr. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time.
