Ronald Wayne Finn, 64, of Texico, passed away at 4:01 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2020, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital, in Mt. Vernon.

He was born May 30, 1955, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Kellie and Shirley (Roberson) Finn.  Until failing health, he was a Groundsman of IBEW Local 702 in West Frankfort.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed mushroom hunting, and loved his dog, Annie.  He especially loved his mother, Shirley, and his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Finn of Texico; four siblings, Cindy Harris and partner Jesse Griffin of Texico, Janet Hicks and husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon, Dan Finn and wife Stacey of Opdyke, and Tammy Bain and husband Arthur of Centralia;  and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Genevia Finn, and Jesse and Jewell Roberson; his father, Kellie Finn; and an infant brother, Tommy Ray Finn.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the family of Ronald Finn, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Dix, Illinois 62830.
