CAMI, IL — A Harrisburg woman is facing drug-related charges after Carmi Police stopped and arrested her around 2:45 Monday afternoon for driving on a suspended license in the 700 block of Beck Street in Carmi.
According to a Carmi Police report, during a search of the backpack 31-year-old Danelle L. Carter was carrying, officers found a set of digital scales, a baggy with half a gram of methamphetamine, two used syringes, a spoon with residue and some matted cotton balls; all are consistent with shooting up illegal drugs. Some cannabis pipes and some .22 caliber ammunition were also found in the car.
Carter was charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful use of property, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.
Carter was taken to the White County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
