George Delbert Thompson, 95, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:23 P.M., June 15, 2019 at Mount Vernon Healthcare Center in Mount Vernon.

FUNERAL SERVIC Ewill be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois, with Reverend Travis Hayes officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  Members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery.
