James Mikel “Mike” Hertenstein, 63, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 1:50 P.M.April 24, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Hewas bornJune 15, 1954 in Tampa, Florida to the late James R. and Shirley Ann (Lyle) Hertenstein.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Victor Long and Reverend Brett Cheek officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in the mausoleum at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Mike’s honor to Angels on Assignment.
