Fleta Neal, 96, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:52 P.M.April 17, 2018 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born July 18, 1921 in Jefferson County, Illinois to Charles and Maud (Gower) Lee. She married Gordan Neal in 1941. They were blessed with 53 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Neal and wife, Dawn of Ensenada, Mexico; grandson, Jordan Neal of Ensenada, Mexico; brothers, Donald Lee of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Neal Lee and wife, Virginia of Rapid City, Michigan; sister, Cuma Piper and husband Tom of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Fletabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and grandson, Sean Neal.

In the past, Fletabel was a part of the Jefferson County Senior Saints. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Fletabel loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Funeral Service:1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Webb officiating.  Interment: Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
