Jawana Sue Payne, 76, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:23 A.M. February 16, 2017 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born November 20, 1940 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to parents, Homer and Noma (Campbell) Cox. She married Jack D. Payne on November 20, 1966 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 30 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 29, 1996.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Farnsworth Cemetery in Keenes, Illinois

A private family visitation will be held.
