Glenda Mae Ellis, 68, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at her home. She was born in Jefferson County on March 6, 1948, the daughter of Willie Le Roy and Helen Maxine (Braden) Browder.  On May 29, 1966, at Oak Grove Church in Mt. Vernon, she married Clyde Duaine Ellis, and he survives in Mt. Vernon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Anna Sue (Ellis) Warner and husband William J. Warner of Mt. Vernon, and Nancy Marie (Ellis) Oeding, of Winslow, Indiana;  five grandchildren, Charles D. May, Amanda S. McMahon, William P. Oeding, Sarah M. Sharp, and Danny L. Warner;  six great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Larry Browder and Donnie Browder;  and five sisters, Ruth Horton, Linda Gentry, Brenda Roach, Dixie Reed, and Mitzi Troxtell. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anita Shoemaker;  two brothers, Danny and Jeffery Browder;  and one son-in-law, Rick Oeding.
