Donna Jeanne Atchison, 79, long-time resident of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:11 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, in Claremore, Oklahoma where she had lived for five years. She was born November 22, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, to parents Joseph J. (Joe) and Bernadine (Thomason) Atchison. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Reverend J. Howard Kraps officiating. Interment will follow at Hams Grove Cemetery in Opdyke, Illinois. A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
