Donald Dean McLean, 93, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 9:33 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  He was born Tuesday, September 25, 1923 in Wayne County, Illinois, a son of Joseph and Novella (McKrill) McLean. Don was an only child. He married Mary Lou (Taylor) McLean on March 22, 1947 in Wayne County. Mary Lou preceded him in death. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois with Reverend Stacy Tate officiating.  Interment will follow. A Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.   For those who wish, memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
